ReaLLY GoiNG CRaZY

Got to finish 33 purses in two days.
Want to be famous.
Could loose my marbles in the process.
Should clean the house (there will be guests here tomorrow.)
Just grounded my kids to play outside.
Desire a vacay.
Trying to stop drinking the Coke... it's not even diet....
only high octane, unfiltered for me. (Like I need uppers!)
Could make dinner, but cereal is just too easy.
Wish I used time wisely.
Think I'm addicted to the puter.
Need to find my sanity.

Yep. I think I am really going crazy.

Are any of you going to come see Kourtney and me
this weekend at the craft show? We WILL have tons of giggles.

What I REALLY Want

I have started coughing. Dang.
Mom~ I'm, sniff sniff whimper, NOT coming down yet.
Let me assess the situation. I REALLY wanted the sunshine. Really.

Oh. My kids are going to be terribly upset.
I need my Grandma.
She used to sprinkle baby powder on my legs to stop
growing pains.
Oh yah. It totally worked.
I need my Mom.
She rubbed Vicks on my chest to relieve
the coughs and sniffles
Ingenius, cuz it worked, too.

I used to pick these out as a treat at the store.
And I recall sneaking into the medicine cabinet
for a small orange flavored goody once or twice.
Now my meds are yucky.

Only 3 teeth? Really?

I'm a foster parent. We were going to do the full out adoption but thought it best to do a trial run before we add a permanent addition to the fam.

I am a cat person. This is my fav of fav's in the kitty colony.

A Russian Blue.

My first Russian Blue was adopted in Arizona. His name was Rasputin, (I know. I am so clever!) He was part of our fam for 6 years.... got sick 2 weeks before Luke was born and passed away.

Wil decided it was time to get me a new one. (Petting a cat is terribly therapeutic for my anxious behavior.)
While searching the web and local shelters, we came across Manfred. ~ Terrible name, but that can be changed. They told me they didn't have all of his particulars in the computer, but thought he was just over a year old. He can be adopted for $50. Perfect.

This is where I lower my proverbial bar...

He is 9 years old. 9!!!!
And he has 3 teeth. 3?!?!?!? Only 3?!?!?!
AND, because of his age, (probably won't be with us for long...) I can adopt him for $25. Ummmmm, we'll foster. It's FREE.
Let's see how he meshes with the fam... he's hiding behind the dryer. He will come out but ONLY for me. Does not want to play with the Entourage... he's sweet but terribly skittish.
Kids want to play; He can't chew food.
Looks like I'm running the Beehive Home for felines.
Hansen's Hospice for Geriatric Critters.

Really Buried

Been suffering from Many headaches as of late...
I believe it is due to my mind being cluttered with the clutter in my life...

Home:
I want to walk through a room. Not over the junk.
I have successfully purged the boys room and Kate's room. Took two full days, but the kids have found that they like playing in there spaces now. Fabulous.

Biz:
I just can't get motivated to be part of SIS. We are still actively creating and filling orders. But updating and sending out "You Whooooo's" to those who want to be in the know regarding our new Needfuls and Wants has been more of a chore than an exciting activity for me. Bare with me, we'll get back to the saws, drills, sanders and stitches soon.

Family:
I found myself tuning out my entourage. Anger would swell as they wanted to share with me a new race track or a high score~ since I was buried in Christmas baubles to be packed. I couldn't be bothered with their fun. They hadn't unloaded the dishwasher or put away the pile of clothes I had sorted, washed, dried and folded... Trying to make time thrilling in their creations, so they will in turn thrill at a clean and empty sink for me.

Wil:
How easy it has been to put Mr.#1 on the back burner... When he would come home from work and ask if I'd thought about something for dinner irked and burned. I'm presently fixing that prob by making something (anything) for chow time. Now I can ask him to check off his Honey-Do's without feeling bad.

Me:
Ugh. Too much to list. But I'll just say this: Purge. My word for 2009. It's not a pretty word. It's definitely not material for a new Saying It Simply creation.... But it is my theme. Wish me luck.

So, if you still check up on me and would like me to still check up on you... Simply leave a comment here and I'll add you to my list of favorites. xx, k

I Really Damaged Her Today

Picture it, 9 a.m. and Katey and I are
desperately trying to get ready for preschool in 15 mins.
She's Dressed.
She's brushed her teeth.
I combed her hair.
Ran to Kourt's car with a baggie of cereal and a cup of juice.
In the midst of our chaos, I grabbed an "E" word show and tell.

When she returns from E-day, I inquire about preschool:
Kate (scowling)-It was fine. Except show and tell.
Me- What was wrong with what you took? Didn't it start with the letter of the day?
Kate~eyebrows drawn together - Yes. But all of the other kids took toys.

Pondering her look, I picture Show and Tell......

kid #1-This is my Elephant.
kid #2-This is my Elephant.
kid #3-This is my Elephant.
kid #4-This is my Elephant.
Kate's Cousin #5- These are my Elmo Books.
Prepare yourselves.
Kate #6-This is my Egg Slicer.
kid #7-This is my Elephant.
kid #8-This is my Elephant.
kid #9-This is my Elephant.
kid #10-This is my Elephant.

Kate back to me (with a sigh)-It wasn't a toy. Nobody knew what it was.
Me- Well, don't we like to cook.
Kate- I guess so. But it wasn't a toy.

We have show and tell for Tuesday ready to go.
I hope she forgets the mortification she is portraying at the age of 3.

I can milk an injury

The pain: it subsides. The housework: it grows. The hubby: neglected. The kids: inquire if I am medicated. The Blog: it suffers.

I am almost back to normal. Well, almost. I can milk an injury, but I sure get sick of it when it's REALLY real. I have had it with the dental junk.

Tomorrow:
I am decorating. Bring on the witchey-ness of Halloween. I am feeling the spells within me.
I am filling orders. ~ oh, did I share the fabulous info that we made our very first Etsy sale within 12 hours of the launch? Fabulous.
I am commenting on my favorite blogs. I will try to get to all of you, but there are MANY Faves.
I am sewing. Got the shopping bug as the dental bills grew. Bought new bedding and some fabric. Curtains and pillows will be finished if I h it.ave anything to say about it.
*By the way, my BFF Martha must have known that I am in the pillow making
process, because she just emailed me with this idea. I think I'll try a fancy pillow.
I am weeding. Not sure which kind yet. Could be the yard, could be junk, could be vinyl. I'll let you know.

This is WAY above my lowered bar, but I have definitely fallen behind.
What are you doing on Friday? Please tell me it's more fun than my to do list.
AND are you dressing up for Halloween? I am.

Hey, has anyone been to Gardner Village recently? Just want to know if there is anything new and fun to see.
