Gots me my very own conundrum for the 4th. Both sides of our family are planning get-togethers. Wil's sister and kids (whom I ADORE and we haven't seen in over a year) will be here from Arkansas and sparking up the holiday at Wil's parent's home. My brother and his family who only last month moved back to Utah after residing in MT for 2 years and my sister who just moved back to Utah after living in PHX for 12 years and my Mom are all converging in my general area (at Kourt's) for the first family gathering in YEARS.
I want to be in 2 places at once. I am in a family pickle of sorts. Would it be prudent to suggest BOTH fams gather at my house? I mean, we have the pool, a tramp, the Wii, a park down the street. And remember, dear friends, I did spontaneously purchase grass this year, so my backyard is lush and inviting.
Or do I just pass up the stress of having the Hostess responsibility? Should I just choose one fam? Do I make my kids spend quite a bit of time travelling between activities so I can get fixes with both relations? Or do I pack my bags and head for a place where I can get a massage and room service and let Wil make the decisions? I am happy with all of my choices. With any decision I make, I win.
This is just a lookey lookey from SIS. I just loved how the distressing
turned out and wanted to share. xxoo, kris

decisions, decisions...good luck! Kell might not be participating in the celebrations and our sis Nancy is coming up too! It's about time you shower...wowee!
i think you suggest each side choose a different time to begin so maybe you can do a little of both!!!!! that's a hard one...been there many times!!!! wish i was in the same predicament (i can't spell)
Love the new header!
You have got yourself into a pickle my dear! (p.s. love the laundry basket on your header BTW). That is perfect.
Okay, back to this dilema. I say pack your bags and run. Just kidding. Can you do both? Coordinate them so they are at different times. Celebrate our independence in style.
Love the SIS item. Very creative and oh so adorable.
how far apart are said festivities?? like hours and hours, or just hour? cuz if it's not much, get one to do afternoon and one evening. but that sounds like it would have been just way too easy of a solution so i'm sure i'm missing something here....
Mixing families is always a little risky. I say lunch with one and dinner/fireworks with another. Good luck.
so here is a solution. Skip them both and come to Stadium of fire with us to see my girly girls dance.
Oh and distressing looks great!
