Really Good @ being Bad

Before reading this, please take an appraising look at my header picture and try to understand.
After stepping out of a much needed shower, Wil informed me that his
unders drawer is empty .
"Do you know where the laundry is?"
I reply, "Yes."
"Can you get me some clean underwear?" Clean being the operative word here.
I reply, "No."
The reason? I didn't want to do laundry last week. So I hid it.
  • In Katey's closet. (Nobody looks in there-ever)
  • Under my bed. (When you grow up and make the decision, as my mom must have tried to do, that nothing goes under the bed~ It is a perfect hiding spot.)
  • In the garage. (Brilliant! WHY would anyone put a basket of dirty laundry in the garage. It's too insane.)
  • In the Basement. (Oh, the DUNGEON. Boxes and bags of old clothes- what's a hamper thrown into the mix?

I know this is terrible. But SERIOUSLY- I do laundry all the time. And last week I was tired of soap, softener, bleach and fabric sheets.

Not to mention the task of putting away everything. I hate to put it away.

So I hid it. And Wil donned his tighty whiteys.

I have to go start the washing machine.

I feel for you Kris, laundry is the never ending saga. I can't complain too much because even though I do the washing, Brian is the one who folds it (for the most part). However it usually only makes it from the baskets to the kids drawers when the dressers are completely empty, why is it so hard to put away the clean clothes?

I soo feel your pain1 I recently went without a washing machine for over 4 WEEKS.

I have a fantasy about a house where there are no dressers or closets, just a washer and dryer in every closet, and I guess some magic elf who rotates it for the herd.

Isn't it the case, though, that even if you do get it done, they are still looking for something THEY forgot to include in the knee-deep pile you just finished?! Makes me crazy. I wasn't bright enough to think of hiding it though. I'll try that next time I'm fed up. Thanks for the tip.

Hmmm, I've never thought of hiding it!

However, laundry is the one chore my hubby will do without hesitation. Especially, if there is something on tv that he wants to watch.

We call him the laundry be-yo-tch around here!! It's an inside joke but all too funny!

I hate putting it away, doing it sucks bad enough!

This is funny, because the Capn says he doesn't help with the laundry because, "I just don't like to fold and put away". Yeah, and I do? If I didn't do chores I didn't enjoy, boy howdy my boys would be 'goin' commando' all the time! I tried to have my boys do their own laundry but they just got in the way (and put detergent in the bleach dispenser). Nope, laundry is just one of those things I suck up and do rather than delegate-they can't be trusted!!

I HATE putting laundry away. I don't mind the actually doing, but putting it away is the worst. Most of the time we pick our clean clothes out of the dryer. I'm the worst. But...if I had Mike do it everything would shrink and nothing would fit.

haha you are hilarious. love the honesty. maybe just do one load a day for 4 days so you don't get so overwhelmed. at least you don't have to get it done at a laundry mat because that would suck!

I am thrilled to know I'm not the only one that despises laundry!! One thing to look forward to though is when your kids get older they can fold it for you!!! That's what I hate about it.
